Micklethwaite Masters 2026
The 2026 Micklethwaite Masters was held at Heysham Golf Club on Saturday, 23rd May 2026. Following a surprisingly misty and cool start, it turned into a sunny, warm and very pleasant day. The winners in a high-scoring and close run event, after a card play-off, with 45 points, were Heysham's Josh Lamb and Elliot Gardner.
The Micklethwaite Masters trophy and prizes for the first five placed pairs will be presented at the end of season Team Classic and Prize Giving at Heysham Golf Club on Saturday, 26th September 2026. Many congratulatons to Josh and Elliot and to all the prize winners.
Many thanks again to everyone concerned at Heysham GC for their outstanding organisation and support for the event. Special mention to Linda, Trev and Olivia in the professional's shop, Comps Secretary Ian Gardner, Howsie on cards and scoring duties, and John and Gail for getting everyone started smoothly and on time. Many thanks to the catering team and particular thanks to Dave Hutchinson and his team for setting up such a superbly presented course.
Finally, thanks again to everyone who played for holding the faith (once again!) this year and supporting the event. We will look forward to seeing you all at the next one.
